Ragazzi's tenor and bass Young Men's Ensemble and director Joyce Keil collaborate with Susan McMane and her Young Women's Chorus of San Francisco, all directed by legendary choral conductor Vance George. The combined forces of two great Bay Area youth choirs present an exciting program with orchestral accompaniment. Giovanni Martini's "Domine adjuvandum me festina," Gabriel Fauré's "Cantique de Jean Racine," and Leonard Bernstein's "Make Our Garden Grow" and "Somewhere," from "West Side Story," will be featured. The young men will perform varied works, including the spiritual "Wade in the Water," "Non vos relinquam orphans" by Donati, and a Dale Wood arrangement of the plainsong "Conditor Alme." The young women will present songs including Hildegard von Bingen's "Karitas habundat," Bay Area composer Frank La Rocca's "Ave Maris Stella," and Johannes Brahms' "Regina Coeli."
