Tango and Salsa night with Primo Cubano and Tango Mucha Labia
What started as a trickle became a hurricane as a dancing craze is sweeping the city. If youre already in the know, youve got plans to be at SPACE tonight with your dancing shoes on. If youre new to the game, well have Tango and Salsa lessons at the beginning of the night, alternating with djs and warm-up sets by the bands and then... full sets of the hottest music in Portland to heat up the early spring weather. The music will be dedicated to the roots of Salsa and Tango pulling songs from the repertoire of the early 1920s to the late 1940s. Both groups use traditional instrumentation and are dedicated to the authenticity of the time period.
