Northwest Derby Summit
Roller Derby Training at its finest!!! 3 tracks, 2 offskate seminar areas and an abundance of derby learning all weekend!
Multiple options get you the most bang for your buck!!
We will have:
Skills Development: all weekend on two track both days all day long. Class will include development of backwards blocking, forcing opponents to the box, track awareness,and much much more!!
Seminars: this year we will have coaching seminars, nutrition seminars, classes on how to build practices plans, how to run a bench and then round table discussions will be happening all day as well.
This year we are adding on a cool new feature to the camp!!
Team Development:
We will only be accepting 6 teams in this program (you can have up to 20 play in each scrimmage).
What you get: 2 thirty min scrimmages coached by Carmen Getsome or Shorty Ounce and a 3rd thirty min scrimmage that the coaches will take notes and provide a video feedback session for you and your team!

Refs will get in game training and feedback as they ref scrimmages all day!!

Carmen Getsome
Carmen Getsome is a 8 year Rat City Allstar member that has been voted by her leaguemates as MVP for the past five years in a row. A hardworking athlete that has proven her skill and leadership by not only skating for the currently #6 in the world roller derby team but by starting a banked track team. Carmen believes versatility is an important component to success so while you work with her at camp you will experience drills that resemble other sports and types of workouts that come together to not only improve your derby skills but your athleticism.
Shorty Ounce: Recongized by her teammates last year as the Rat City Rollergirls Rookie of the year, Shorty Ounce is proof that powerful things come in small packages!
Shorty Ounce has coached all over the world! From Australia to North Carolina, she has taught people how to hold their walls together to help people put their weight in the proper place while blocking to improve their position on the floor as well as how to be an all around awesome blocker!!

K. BEEZY K Beezy skates with Grave Danger and the Rat City All Stars. Awarded Best Offensive Blocker for her rookie season with the All Stars, Beezy loves pack work and active movement to protect jammers and control the pace of game. She has been coaching for two years, with experience in coaching men, women, and juniors -- as the former coach of Puget Sound Outcasts (MRDA) and currently coaches the I 5 Rollergirls (JRDA). She enjoys focusing on the process and skill of individual movement and overall teamwork to have successful outcomes.
Jeremy "Radillac" Franz, aka Bison, skates for Puget Sound Outcast Derby as well as Team USA. A rink rat his entire life, and not a stranger to skate parks, Radillac loves to contain and own jammers through calm, patient blocking that is controlled by his amazing footwork. Awarded the title of MRDA MVP Blocker in 2011, he is one of the cleanest skaters in the game, a great communicator, and has a keen understanding of body placement for maximum agility and control. Coaching for over four years with Tacoma's very own Dockyard Derby Dames , Radillac excels at watching pack dynamic and skater movement to figure out opportune ways to adjust strategies for better game play.
Chuck Hendrick "Hollywood" Chuck is a lifetime skater, having skated in many different forms for over 20 years. He has been involved with derby for 10 years, he was involved before mens derby was even created. Chuck has spent countless hours introducing newer skaters how to skate and more advanced skater how to play with strategy. He has coached the Rat City ROllergirls, Dockyard Derby Dames, Rose CIties Wheels of Justice, Jet Cities Pink Pistols, and currently he is coaching Antagonist. Chuck is the 2014 captain of the Puget Sound Outcast Derby team and is a phenomenal utility player. He is an incredible player with wonderful speed control, agility and determination
Vito Vidi Vici has only been playing roller derby for a little over a year however he has rapidly proved his skill as he has earned a spot on the Puget Sound Outcast charter. He has picked up the skating skill quickly as he has been coaching for several years for severalvery successful teams. Over the last three years Vito has coached the Rat City Roller Girls home team Grave Danger to two season championships and provided the team with leadership and derby knowledge! Vito also has coached the I-5 ROLLERGIRLS A team to a Northwest Jr championship! He also has experience internationally coaching as vito has traveled to Australia, New Zealand and Canada to share his calm,cool demeanor as well as his derby insights. Steal some track time with this guy to learn a few new things!
