"Jack" featuring Angela Iannacone and Dillon Feldman
Sparta High School alumni Angela Iannacone and Dillon Feldman are hosting, in affiliation with the Sparta Avenue Stage, a benefit performance of "Jack," a night of two original one act musical plays. Presented by an intimate three-person cast, these works offer a twist on stories familiar to the American family.
The first piece details the story of mother and son struggling to make a connection across eighteen years of estrangement, while the second takes an inspired look at an age-old classic, "Jack and the Beanstalk." Themes of self worth and selfless love make this an evening that will amuse and inspire. Children under twelve require parental guidance due to mild language and suggestive themes.
The proceeds of this benefit performance will help fund a trip to Germany to conduct research for Iannacone's Masters thesis. Both Angela and Dillon are students of New Jersey City University's Musical Theatre program, Miss Iannacone as a graduate student and Mr. Feldman as a sophomore.
Iannacone owns a private voice studio with over 20 students in Sparta. She has also worked with local youth in middle school, high school and summer musical productions as a musical director. Feldman, a 2012 graduate Sparta High School, was an avid member of Sparta High School's music program, acting as a teaching assistant in choirs and musicals and representing the township in several drama competitions.
Shows are Sunday Feb 23 at 2 PM and Sunday March 2 at 7 PM.
