From the Ground Up: A Stairwell's Field Trip
The fifth Stairwell's Field Trip, From the Ground Up, is a walking tour that explores stairs and related structures in North Oakland.
From the Ground Up will take place on Sunday, March 2 from 11 AM to 2 PM in North Oakland.* This outdoor group excursion, led by Stairwell's co-directors along with guest Field Trip leaders Elizabeth Bernstein, Kari Marboe and Stacy Martin, will cover East Bay history, esoteric rituals, geology, pyramid architecture and more.
What's Along the Way: Secret histories, hybrid spaces and unexpected views Presentations and group activities from 3 guest Field Trip leaders A picnic lunch (BYO or purchase food nearby)
* Participants will be notified of exact meeting location the week before the Field Trip.
Attendees should wear comfortable walking shoes and dress in layers due to the variable Bay Area weather we may encounter on our journey. Please contact us at stairwells.sf@gmail.com with any questions.
