Sevilla A Guitar Celebration
Now Musique is proud to present international touring and recording guitarist Aaron Larget-Caplan in his Music Mansion debut performance of 'Sevilla' to celebrate his latest albums on Friday May 19th at 7pm. Grammy Nominated baritone Johnathan McCullough will join him.
An award-winning guitarist, arranger, and composer, Larget-Caplan has performed repeatedly in Providence with various ensembles and most recently in the Newport Area with harpsichordist Frederick Jodry. Based in Boston, the concert celebrates his 10th solo album, Spanish Candy, which features the music that he heard when he fell in love with the Spanish guitar at age 16.
Spanish Candy explores standards, rarely heard gems, and includes a few flamenco works. Works from Larget-Caplans most recent albums will also be featured on the concerts including from, Gods Time: Music of J.S. Bach on Guitar and his own compositions from honey cadence. The two albums have earned over 2-million streams in less than one year!
Larget-Caplan will be joined by current Providence resident and Grammy Nominated baritone, Johnathan McCullough. The duo will perform a selection of songs from A Brief Light by American composer John Musto. This will also be McCulloughs first performance at the Music Mansion.
'Sevilla' will feature music by J.S. Bach, Isaac Albéniz, Esteban de Sanlúlcar, Francisco Tárrega, John Musto, and Aaron Larget-Caplan.
Admission is $25 & $15 and can be purchased online at BrownPaperTickets.com, by phone, or at the door. Seating is general admission and limited, so reserve today!
