THE PATHHEAD CHOIR SONGWRITING PROJECT - Morningside Parish Church
Autumn Voices is delighted to have received funding from Creative Scotland for a new project in partnership with songwriter, workshop tutor and choir leader, Sophie Bancroft.
The project sees Sophie guiding a group of Pathhead community members aged 60+ to write original songs for The Pathhead Choir to perform. These songs will be arranged and notated for the choir by local professional musicians and arrangers, rehearsed and performed by the choir, and conducted by choir co-leaders Sophie Bancroft and Gina Rae, who will be accompanied by jazz pianist Dave Milligan on piano. The choir will give three concerts in June 2023, perform these new and original pieces.
