ADA - What You Need to Know About Accessible Signage.
Are you looking for a program to meet the California Architects Board ADA course requirement? AIA Orange County is offering you an opportunity to earn 1.5 qualifying hours for your 2023 license renewal.
Description:
Attendees will review the required accessibility signage and the attributes required for compliance. Overview of requirements, review of examples of actual installations, shop drawings, and common mistakes made. Learning Objectives: Attendees will review and discuss different sign types; text, symbols, and geometric signs.

Presenters Bio: Ms. Afshar is an AIA member architect with over 30 years of experience in commercial and public facilities, with a focus on interior architecture and accessibility. She has been involved with Access-related work since 1991. Ms. Afshar is also CID, LEED AP, and CASp certified.
