Series - Mourning Sickness Visiting Artist
Its better than sex! Featuring extra special guest Diamond Lil with LIVE SHADOWCASTING! And the RETURN of our COSTUME CONTEST with a SERIES PASS GRAND PRIZE! RULES BELOW!
EGOT extraordinaire Whoopi Goldberg (The Color Purple, Theodore Rex) stars as our leading lady, the ultra-glamorous Reno nightclub singer Deloris Van Cartier. After bearing witness to a violent act (MURDER!) Deloris finds herself on the lam in an attempt to avoid meeting the same fate. The feds stash her away in the peace and safety of a convent (CHURCH!) where she must learn to blend in among a sisterhood of eccentric nuns. Put in charge of the convents choir, Deloris quickly warms to her new environment and finds novel ways to apply her life lessons from Reno casinos. This joyful and hilarious Mourning Sickness Spring Musical is ready to hit some high notes of high camp!

Accessibility
Ticketing, concessions, cinemas, restrooms, and our public edit lab are located on Northwest Film Forum's ground floor, which is wheelchair accessible. We have a limited number of assistive listening devices available for programs hosted in our larger theater, Cinema 1. These devices are maintained by the Technical Director, and can be requested at the ticketing and concessions counter.
The Forum does NOT have assistive devices for the visually impaired, and is not (yet) a scent-free venue. Our commitment to increasing access for our audiences is ongoing, and we welcome all public input on the subject!
