15 teen actors from Shoreline Christian School bring alive a spirited one-act adaptation of L.M. Montgomery's classic coming-of-age drama set in Canada. After a mix-up, Anne comes to live with Marilla and Mathew Cuthbert instead of the boy they were expecting. After turning everyone's life upside down, will they be able to civilize wild Anne or grow to love her vivacity and joy of life?
Approximate Run Time is just over 60 minutes with no intermission
Opening Act: Warming up the stage will be a 5 minute Opening Act performance featuring Shoreline Christian School Elementary students.
Important Note to families/friends of Elementary performers:
K-2 Performers will only be opening for the performance Saturday, April 1 at 3:00pm
3-5 Performers will be opening for the evening performances on both Friday & Saturday
Family Guide: Only parents are qualified to determine what is appropriate for their children. Dandylyon Drama deems this production appropriate for young audiences however be advised the story does include:
-Brief sad moments
-Brief tense moments
-Accidental drunkenness (spoiler alert: its not really raspberry cordial)
Please note - This adaptation does not cover all the events of the beloved book (most notably it doesn't cover the rather tragic ending) but ends on an encouraging note.
