Anna, in the Darkness features Megan Merrill and is directed by Jeremy Menekseoglu. This is the definitive Dream Theatre Company play, as it embraces the style, aesthetic and mission statement of the company. A teacher has barricaded herself in the basement while her neighbors in her tiny Texas town mass to kill her. And lucky you ... you're down in the darkness with her.
Here's what some have said about this play:
"As Anna, a timid special-education teacher trapped in her house and hunted by her fellow townspeople for something she may or may not have done, Megan Merrill gives a quietly powerful tour de force ... Anna is also immersed in psychological darkness, and this is the darkness that haunts long after you've left the theater." - Zach Freeman, New City
"In Megan Merrill's flawless performance, Anna's shifts between sympathetic vulnerability and deep-seeded rage throw both her innocence and her sanity into question ... the play inflicts a devilish torture on the imagination." -- Marissa Oberlander, Chicago Reader
"A chilling experience- you feel like you're stuck in that dang living room with her, exposed and susceptible to the lurking danger outside." -Chicago Tribune
" offers an hour of engrossingly human horror." Tony Adler, Chicago Reader
