COTE Tour: Tour of the LEED Gold Certified Office of Glumac in Irvine
Program Description
Office tour of a LEED Platinum Certified engineering firm. Attendees will learn about the engineering systems, furniture, and finishes used to achieve this LEED classification and current ADA design philosophies for commercial applications.
Learning Objectives:
1.Attendees will learn about the mechanical and electrical systems utilized for this sustainable LEED rating.
2. Attendees will learn about the importance of lighting with office spaces and how it is utilized for various task to achieve a sustainable LEED rating.
3. Attendees will learn about current design techniques for sustainable finish products.
4. Attendees will experience ADA design techniques used for a new office environment.

Brian Berg has spent a lucky 13 years with Glumac. In this time, he has developed into a valuable member of the Irvine mechanical department earning his role as Associate Principal. He led the effort in the Irvine office's move into their current LEED Platinum digs and for the last couple years has been managing the Hyundai Motors North America project.
Brian is proficient in energy modeling and is an expert in implementing mechanical, electrical and plumbing LEED requirements into building design.
Brian is a graduate of the California Polytechnic University of Pomona with a Bachelor of Sciences in Mechanical Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer, a Certified Energy Manager, Green Building Engineer and LEED Accredited Professional.
