The Third Life of King Lear follows the harrowing decline of an American King and his family. Lear, a violent and wealthy landowner gathers his three daughters for a game. "Which of you, shall we say does love us most?" he asks intending to give the largest sum of his lands and wealth to the daughter with the best answer. From this cruel game, King Lear sets in motion a Neo-biblical odyssey into the abyss of the human spirit and into a land as wild and vast as his own psyche. Combining Shakespeare's language, found text, Brechtian songs, and movement, TOW constructs a viscerally fevered yet mystical meditation on familial War and Nature.
