Slow Food Northern NJ Annual Meeting:
Farms, Food, & Community
On Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 2-5 PM, Slow Food of Northern New Jersey Annual Meeting, the theme of our meeting is Farms, Food, & Community. We are fortunate to have 3 NJ Farmers as guest speakers at our meeting, who will speak about the Slow Food philosophy of Good, Clean, & Fair Food as it relates to their farm, philosphy, and the community. You will have an opportunity to ask the farmers questions during a Q & A.The speakers will be:
Smadar English, The Community Supported Garden at Genesis Farm
Paul Dalrymple, Plaid Piper Farm
John Krueger, Starbrite Farm
A Local Foods Picnic Lunch featuring Roasted Turkey and other seasonal dishes and vegan options prepared from food from our 3 guest speakers farms will follow.
The Annual member meeting is open to members and non-members who are interested in joining Slow Food.
There is a $10 fee for members, $20 fee for non-members
