Sadly, conflict is a part of human life. When it boils over between peoples, its destructive force can be all consuming. Yet we are surrounded by calls to peace, reminders that appear before our eyes everyday to come in, live a full life with one another, and to put conflict aside. To cast hatred and violence to the side in favour of respect and celebration of the value of human life. Our young deserve nothing less than clear demonstrations of opposition to deceit, and to be empowered to seek peace. True courage is in the struggle against war itself, to do the difficult task of living well with one another. Looking at children sleeping is one of these reminders, these everyday calls to strive for peace. Music by Saindon, Praulins, Orban, Lukaszewksi, Balfour, and Barber.
