Max presents: Erotica by WS FISHER - A Slideshow Retrospective
Max is honored to host a private slide show with erotic artist Steven Fisher.
Steven has been painting erotic art since 1979, and presented a series of narrated slideshows in the 1990s. His work influenced many of Seattle's budding kinksters in the 90's, including Max.
Join us for an evening of art and discussion. A limited number of hand colored, signed prints will be available for sale.
SCHEDULE
7:30pm Doors open, meet the artist. Beverages and light snacks will be provided.
8:00pm Slide show.
9:00pm Art sales, chat with the artist.
ARTIST'S STATEMENT
In 1979 I began painting erotic art as a private indulgence - an aside to my career as a free-lance illustrator and fine artist. I failed as my own custom pornographer but succeeded in something else: illuminating the demons that comprised and controlled my sexuality. From that point I dedicated my art to deconstructing my penis.
In the 1990s I presented this artwork as a narrated slideshow at various public and private venues in the Pacific Northwest including the University of Washington, C-Space, RCDC (Rose City Discussion Club), the CSPC (Center for Sex Positive Culture), and SKIN (Michael Decker's Seattle Kink Information Network).
The show chronicled my life as a sadomasochist, moving from shame and dysfunction into understanding, acceptance, and finally celebration.
This will be my first presentation since 2000 and I invite you to witness.

50% refund if cancelled 7 days prior to the event (on or before February 13th). No refund if cancellation is received 0-6 days prior to the event (on or after February 14th).
