Don Ross Toronto Guitar Workshop
Saturday, March 11 from 11 am to 5 pm, Don Ross hosts a small group of guitarists for a day-long workshop / masterclass. Topics covered can (and likely will!) include:
*Playing in altered tunings *Working with harmonics *Building new chord voicings *Approaches to playing "fingerstyle" *Stage gear *Recording
We'll also learn and look at sections of Don's pieces that introduce many of these topics.
Don plans to try to work in some short small group or one-on-one sessions during the workshop too.
Questions and suggestions will be more than welcome!
Don brings a wealth of experience as a composer, touring musician, recording engineer, and orchestrator with him. After 30 years on the road, Don recently went back to university and earned an MA degree in Orchestration from the University of Chichester (UK). In addition to his work as a guitarist, he also composes scores for film and television, and is the music director for a video game developer.
The workshop will take place at: Bergmanis Preyra LLP 2926 Dundas Street West Toronto Ontario M9A2J5
Located between the Dundas West and High Park subway stations, near the corner of Keele. There is street parking and a GreenP across the street. The site is fully accessible. Refreshments will be provided.
