Chris O'Brien, with Teresa Storch opening
Chris O'Brien is an artist on the rise. He was chosen from a pool of nearly 1,000 contestants to appear on Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion" in the "People in Their Twenties" talent contest, he was one of Falcon Ridge Folk Festival's Emerging Artists, and he was a finalist in the Mountain Stage New Song competition. In the summer of 2008, Chris came in second at the Telluride Bluegrass Fest Troubador contest, and he was finalist at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival in Kerrville, Texas. The list of artists Chris has shared the stage with reads like a Who's Who of Homegrown Coffeehouse favorites -- performers such as David Wilcox, Meg Hutchinson, Vance Gilbert, Mark Erelli, Jess Klein, Jake Armerding and Dar Williams, who taught him his first guitar chords. Here is (what just might be your last) chance to catch him in an intimate setting. The exciting Teresa Storch will open.
