Angel City Derby Girls Present The Big One Tournament
Angel City Derby Girls host the second annual California Women's Flat Track Roller Derby tournament in El Segundo, CA.
Saturday and Sunday, May 16th and 17th, 2009, Roller Derby leagues from Northern and Southern California will converge on the Toyota Sports Center (TSC) for a weekend tournament to compete for the title of California Champion!
Participating leagues include: Sacred City Derby Girls (WFTDA), Angel City Derby Girls (WFTDA), B.ay A.rea D.erby Girls (WFTDA), Orange County Rollergirls (WFTDA), Central Coast Rollerderby (WFTDA), San Diego Derby Dolls, LA Derby Dolls, and the Sac City Rollers. The best leagues in California were chosen based on their 2008 game history. For the WFTDA leagues, participation in this tournment has implications in national WFTDA rankings, making the tournament ply much more exciting.
