Arts Council of Mendocino County GASP arts integration institute
Presented by the Arts Council's Get Arts in the School Program (GASP) and sponsored by the Community Foundation of Mendocino County, the 3rd annual half-day institute features sessions that explore the elements of art through the visual, performing and multimedia arts. Facilitated by veteran artists and teachers, sessions will introduce model projects that offer tools and resources for integrating the arts into K-12 teaching and learning in the sciences, language arts, math, history and the arts.

$15 (early registration discounts available)
* free for current ACMC members who register by May 1st. * $10 for non-ACMC members who register by May 1st. * free for high school students participants.
After May 1st the cost will be $15 for both ACMC member and non-ACMC member registrants.
Two inspiring, hands-on sessions: Exploring The Water Cycle Through Music! with SPACE Music Director Ali Miller and Bringing The Literary And Visual Arts Together Through Poetry Writing And Bookmaking with veteran arts educator, GASP artist and Professional Development Program Consultant Cathleen Micheaels.
The $15 registration fee covers all materials and includes coffee and tea with light morning fare and an optional opportunity for participants to learn more about the Get Arts in the Schools Program and applying for GASP grants for the school year. Special registration discounts available as followsfree for current ACMC members who register by May 1st; $10 for non- ACMC members who register by May 1st; and free for high school student participants!
