Riding the Rollercoaster - Living in Recovery as a Family Presented by: Maria Campobasso, M.A., CADC, Clinical Outreach Coordinator
Substance use disorder is a problem impacting families on many levels. This training examines the pressures families face when dealing with a child in active use and in recovery. The presentation will look ay symptoms of substance use disorder and how they impact famllies. Participants will learn about the components of substance use, including patterns of behavior that are indicative of problematic use. We will also discuss the traits of family memebers that impact adolescent substance use. The course will guide clinicians to better support their client's families on how to identify markersof problematic use and discuss the resources available to families and the role of the clinician in makng a referral.
