WTS Puget Sound March 6th Lunch Program - Generational Differences in the Workplace
In this unique time, when we have four distinct generations in the workplace at the same time, it can become very challenging to manage the different values, work ethics, styles and motivations. Lois Cohen will help us understand all four generations and learn how to effectively address opportunities and challenges, to better lead today's diverse workforce.
A communications leader with a 25-year track recordMs. Cohen's experience working at every level of government - from the State of Oregon and the U.S. Department of Transportation to the City of New York - gives her an uncommon ability to help organizations and individuals assess their culture, and create a collaborative and integrated workforce. She is also a sought-after public speaker and workshop facilitator, with recent presentations addressing: generational differences in the workplace.
We're kicking off the year with this Diversity program and we will also be launching "The WTS Diversity Challenge". We'll have more information at the luncheon, but to go with the theme of the month, your Diversity Challenge is to bring people from your office from different generations (all 4 maybe!). Or, if you're coming with a friend, we're challenging you to invite someone from a generation different than yours. We want to raise diversity awareness within WTS and hope you embrace the challengesthere might be some prizes along the way!
