Saturday afternoon will feature author Kathy Boyd Fellure who lives in Amador County with her family and is the Founder-Director of Amador Fiction Writers. Fellure will discuss her novel, The Wrong Ocean, which is the first in a new series, Across the Pond. It is a father/daughter Alzheimer's story that travels from Cornwall, England to Sacramento, California. Kathy is also the author of the Tahoe Trilogy, On the Waters Edge. Prior to writing her novels, she wrote four childrens books.
On Sunday afternoon, Sharon Strong will speak. She is a practicing psychologist and artist, mask-maker, and creator of towering sculptures for Burning Man as well as gallery exhibits in Northern California. She lives in Angels Camp, on twenty acres in a straw-bale house with her husband, filmmaker Tom Weidlinger, whom she met at age seventy. Their story inspired her to write Burning Woman, a passionate love story about the adventure of aging.
The events are on two separate days, Saturday February 11 and February 12. Each day the entrance fee is 15.00 for members and 20.00 for the general public. Both events begin at Baker Street West at 2PM.
