Filming for a Cause
--Whats your cinematic mission? Kids, teens and adults can all be filmmakers for a cause! Many people are already making a difference in their communities by making meaningful films of their own, like Hollywood Director, Joey Travolta who makes filmmaking, a real-life possibility for kids with autism at his summer film camps. Joey will show you how 50 kids ages 10-17 yrs. old created a message about Autism Awareness thats now on TV in their hometown! Camp producer and panel moderator, Karen Sadler of FILMLAB, says the films we make with the kids at Joeys camps help others, especially other kids, to learn more about children with autism, while becoming filmmakers themselves, now thats a fun way to learn! Whether its a public service announcement for your school, your neighborhood recycling efforts or a documentary about saving local wildlife--find out how you can take your cause to the big screen and make a big difference. Join Travolta, Sadler, Emmy-nominated teen filmmakers, and other industry professionals as they open the doors of inspiration with this very special vocation.
