Comedy on Elm Street with Paul Gilligan, Dave Russo, etc.
Paul Gilligan and Dave Russo head up a killer lineup that also includes Matt McArthur and "New England's Funniest Comedian" Runner-up Bryan Muenzer as comedy returns to the Elm Draught House Cinema, 35 Elm Street, Millbury MA on Saturday, January 28.
Paul Gilligan is one of the most requested headliners in Boston, bringing down the house with an attitude developed as a high school class clown, and with material culled from his life as a licensed electrician, husband and father. In addition to working Boston clubs, golf tournaments, fundraisers, roasts, and other events, Gilligan is a regular performer at the Riviera Casino in Las Vegas. He's appeared on Charlie Moore Outdoors and Dirty Water TV for NESN, and at the Hampton Beach Comedy Festival. He is often requested to work for trade association groups.
Dave Russo gained national fame during A&E's The Entertainer, and he's been a fixture as a headliner in Las Vegas and Boston ever since. Winner of the first ever Boston Comedy Festival, he's now seen on television as the comedy host of Dirty Water TV, is a radio station regular, and plays clubs and theaters around New England. Hes a former collegiate wrestler, and avid hockey player.
Matt McArthur discovered his love of stand-up comedy as a college student, and since has been performing at clubs and colleges all over New England. In addition to being a comedian, Matt also became a professional bagpiper at a young age, and since has been performing at churches and cemeteries all over New England. Unofficially, he is considered the top bagpiper-comedian in Boston. Hes also the only one.
Bryan Muenzer is tall in stature and short in attention span so his jokes are mostly quick one liners. Runner-up in the 2022 Funniest Comic in New England competition, his sense of humor derives from a blend of being awkwardly tall and just plain awkward. Bryan was voted New Englands Best Bar Comic in 2017 and regularly performs in Boston and New York City.
