Hailed a cultural phenomenon by "Newsweek" and celebrated by "This American Life," "The Today Show," and beyond, "Mortified" is a one-of-a-kind, popular storytelling show that involves excavating high school memorabilia to create a totally unique form of performed stories. Let the show's creators Neil Katcher and David Nadelberg wade into your personal archives to find the elements of literary gold. In this one-day class, you'll bring in whatever you can get your hands on from your past: drawings, journals, letters, lyrics, films, class assignments, or keepsakes (the more mortifying the better). You'll learn how to transform your teenage treasures into a cathartic story that will make us laugh, cry, and embrace our inner awkward teen. Note: This workshop is applicable to anyone (and not just students interested in creating a Mortified piece).v
