Fat: A Discussion and Dinner with Jennifer McLagan
Fat Program has Slimmed Down
Due to a light response, we've decided to present a new, improved, reduced-Fat program! This one is kinder on the wallet. Instead of dinner, were having sweet and savory snacks that include:
Rosemary-Flavored Pork Fat Beurre de Gascon (duck fat spread with roasted garlic) Duck Fat Biscuits with Cracklings Bread and Kerrygold Butter with Cornichon and Radishes Salted Butter Tart (a caramely thing) Shortbread Spiced Bacon Fat Cookies Strawberries Whipped Cream
with a selection of wine. And instead of including a book in the attendance fee, you have the option of buying it, CASH OR CHECKS, ONLY, PLEASE at half price. Books will be limited to first-come, first get, unless you email me by Monday, March 9 with a whole lot of orders.
So please reconsider Fat, and join us in welcoming Jennifer McLagan on Tuesday, March 24 at Cooking By the Book. Well have a short talk, grab a lovely bite of something made with delicious fat, drink some wine and shell sign books.
Breaking News: Jennifer just received an IACP nomination for Fat in the single-subject category. Right now, shes in Vancouver, BC getting a Sprout award for Fat.

Time: 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM (note later time)
Cost: $20 members, $25 guests, limited to 40 persons (books available to purchase at half price)
Location: Cooking by the Book, 13 Worth St., 3rd Floor
(Take 1 train to Franklin Street. Exit on West Broadway. Follow West Broadway south 2 blocks to Worth. Turn right onto Worth. Its half a block down on the north side of the street.
