My Story & Advice: A Night with Katherine Alford
Katherine will share stories and advice about her exciting career that led to her becoming Senior Vice President of Culinary for Food Network and Cooking Channel. Her journey started as a sous chef at Quilted Giraffe and as a freelance writer, prior to becoming Director of Peter Kump Cooking School (now ICE!), and then publishing her first cookbook. For over a decade, Katherine oversaw Food Network's Test Kitchen and Editorial, which included overseeing development for Food Network Magazine and FoodNetwork.com.
The evening will include a networking reception with member-prepared recipes from Katherine's cookbook and Food Network / Cooking Channel content, an interview by NYWCA Board Member Terry Frishman and a kitchen item collection for GEMS. Big thanks to our sponsors ICE and Gotham Wines & Liquors.
Prior guest speakers for this annual series were Sara Moulton, Melissa Clarke and Dorie Greenspan.
