Michio Kaku , a theoretical physicist, best-selling author and co-creator of the string field theory, is one of the most recognizable voices explaining science today.
"The Future of the Mind" gives us an authoritative and compelling look at the astonishing research being done in major laboratories around the world - all based on the latest advancements in neuroscience and physics. One day soon we might have a "smart pill" that can dramatically enhance our cognition; be able to upload our brain to a computer, neuron for neuron; send thoughts and emotions around the world on a "brain-net," control computers and robots with our individual minds; push the very limits of immortality; and conceivably send our human consciousness across the universe.
Dr. Kaku leads us on a grand tour of what the future might be holding, giving us a solid sense of just how the brain functions, and how the evolving technologies will change our daily lives.
With his deep understanding of modern science and keen eye for future developments, Dr. Kaku explores the mind-boggling frontiers of neuroscience.
Micho Kaku's books included: Parallel Worlds, Einstein's Cosmos, Visions, Beyond Einstein, Hyperspace, Physics of the Impossible, and the recent smashing success, Physics of the Future. He has appeared widely on television (Discovery, BBC, ABC,the Science Channel and CNN. In addition, Dr. Kaku appears on two live talk shows: "Explorations in Science" (heard on Pacifica Radio) and "Science Fantastic".
"He stretches his mind to 11 dimensions, understands what Einstein failed to grasp, andis a superhero of the incomprehensible" Cosmos Magazine
Philip Maldari is the popular, longtime host of KPFA's Sunday Morning Show.
