Double Header! Humboldt Roller Derby's Redwood Rollers Vs Sonoma County All Stars AND HRD's Redwood Saplings Vs Sac City's Bad Apples. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of the Redwoods.
Come out to the Luau! Dress up in your best Hawaiian Luau attire and maybe you will win a prize!
Doors Open at 5pm, First game at 6pm - second game at 7ish.
Game One:
2014 will be the second interleague season for our Redwood Saplings! Our Saplings have been working very hard in the off-season and are sure to impress our fans with their athleticism, teamwork, and rules knowledge. Many of our Saplings players have been in our junior derby program for four seasons and have become accomplished veteran skaters.
Game Two:
HRD's Redwood Rollers Vs Sonoma County All Stars:
This will be the first WFTDA sanctioned game between the Redwood Rollers and Sonoma County's All Stars. When HRD was first getting it's interleague start in 2009, the Redwood Rollers took on Sonoma County in a closed scrimmage where the more experienced Sonoma County took the win. It has been 4 years since these teams last met, and the many roster changes on both sides will make this match up unpredictable and exciting to watch.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
Tickets are also available locally at The Works, The Local, and STIL and at People's Records and Wildberries in Arcata.
