Maximilien Cooking Class: French Sauces
Be bold, daring, and a bit "Saucy!" with Chef Christian Potvin, as you learn how to prepare the "Five Mother Sauces", from which all other French sauces are created! In this class, you'll learn how to traditionally prepare each of the following fundamental sauces to French cooking: Béchamel, Veloute, Espagnole, Hollandaise, and Tomato. Additionally, Chef Potvin will demonstrate other essential French techniques, such as making mayonnaise, vinaigrettes and basic stocks, as well as how to quick-pan sauces and freeze stocks for future use.
This class is on Sunday, March 9th, from 1PM to 3PM, and includes generous tasting.
