Brilliant Traces by Cindy Lou Johnson (Staged Reading)
It's a new year and we're pleased to kick off our Fifteenth Annual Staged Play Reading Series with a fully staged reading of Cindy Lou Johnson's mesmerizing one-act, Brilliant Traces. Unexpectedly thrown together in the confines of a snowbound cabin in the wilds of Alaska, two strangers explore the pain of the past and consider the possibilities of the present. Their isolation with each other catapults them to break through the web of pain and lost love as they find their way back from loneliness and grief. "Brilliant Traces deals with common issues of love and family, and does so with characters, story and dialogue so fantastic that they could exist only within the enchanted realm of the stage." - The New York Times. Don't miss this rewarding and illuminating play featuring ReAct's non-traditional ethnically diverse casting with local talent a unique blend of the spoken word and theatrical performance.
Starring Narea Kang and William Poole and directed by David Hsieh
