Station North Community Supported Art Launch Event
Station North Arts and Entertainment District is pleased to announce the launching of a new project: Community Supported Art (CSA). Functioning much like its agricultural namesake Station North CSA will provide community members with an opportunity to buy a share for the season and in return receive the freshest artwork Station North has to offer. For the inaugural harvest, we've turned to a jury of art farmers in Station North, aka local gallery owners and those already entrenched in Station North's DIY and retail art scene, for their suggestions on this season's most hearty crops.
At each presentation event (see below for dates), 4 CSA artists will give short presentations on their work and shareholders will rank the artists 1 thru 4. We will attempt to give everyone at least one piece of art from their top two artists. Ranking is used to make sure shareholders aren't getting a box full of kale at pick-up when they'd rather have beets. This is also an opportunity to network, mingle, and meet CSA artists. Presentation and pickup events will be catered by the Chesapeake.
