Christmas on the Oregon Frontier, An Evening to Remember
Step Back in Time for Christmas on the Oregon Frontier. We will gather in the old Carriage House at Cougar Mountain Ranch as we share an old fashioned Christmas dinner of Beef Burgundy in Peaches, new potatoes and glazed carrots and enjoy Hazelnut and Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake, and traditional Swedish pastries, tarts and cookies. Gates open at 4:30 pm if you would like to come early to take in Jessica's mountain and forest adventure which includes watching the sunset over the Applegate Valley from Cougar Mountain and a walk through the Forest at deer meadow, dinner at 6:00 pm.
We will sing carols together and watch "Christmas on the Oregon Frontier", our Christmas Special that aired on PBS, featuring Cowboy Poet and Balladeer Butch reading the Christmas story from a 200 year old Bible, the immigrant traditions of our local family owned wineries, the Scandinavian tradition of Lucia and Butch in the high Country, as he remembers "Christmas at the Line Camp". Christina Lynn Martin will sing her Christmas songs, "In the Manger", "Let the Snow Fall Down", "Love Light Within" and "Isle of Skye".
Tickets are 35.00 per adult, and 20.00 for children, vegetarian meal upon request.
