Secret Fabula: Bryant's Cocktail Lounge

This new event will take you behind the scenes of a fabulous Milwaukee institution to hear the stories and secrets of Bryant's Cocktail Lounge while enjoying classic cocktails. They've been around since 1938 and have some great stories to share.
In October 2013, New York Times included Bryant's as a can't-miss destination in their "36 hours in Milwaukee" feature, describing it as "a dim, lushly upholstered time capsule of a bar inside a nondescript two-story house". Then, in December, Esquire rated Bryant's the best bar in the country, mentioning the vintage Hi-Fi playing 60s R&B, the retro décor and the Brandy Old Fashioneds.
Of course, they're just discovering what some Milwaukeeans have known for years. As Jennifer P says in her Yelp review, "When I mentioned the bar to my grandmother, she fondly recalled visiting it with her girl friends as a young lady in the 1940s. When a place has been around that long, you know they're doing something right." Yelper Kyle H came up from Chicago to check out Bryant's, and his advice is "Tell them what you like, be detailed as you wish, and they'll come up with something for you. Both times I've been here I've asked for something with whiskey and a hint of orange. Both times I was served a Rye Whiskey drink which fit the bill perfectly. Apparently, what I like is called the Southern Gentleman." (Don't we all, Kyle).
Each ticket includes a complimentary punch; additional drinks can be purchased from the cash bar. Through March 5, tickets are $20. From March 6 to March 29, they are $25, and if any tickets remain at the door, they are $30. However, the best deal of all is available to season members, who can buy $10 tickets as long as they are available. Don't delay, however, as only 50 seats are available!
