HOMAGE RECITAL FOR AURELIO DE LA VEGA, IN MEMORIAM
A special recital in honor of Aurelio de la Vega (1925-2022), considered one of the greatest exponents of contemporary art music. Composer de la Vega wrote numerous works in many forms and media and, from the early 1960s, was an active force on the U.S. musical scene. Among his numerous recognitions is the coveted Friedheim Award of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, bestowed in 1978.
Featuring pianist Martha Marchena, soprano Anne Marie Ketchum de la Vega, cellist Marisol Espada, and clarinetist Juan Ruiz.
