Let TV writers Joey Gutierrez (Raising Hope, The Drew Carey Show) and Nastaran Dibai (Hope and Faith, 3rd Rock From The Sun), share their secrets for developing the DNA of your show, finding the funny, crafting characters that bring us back, season after season. In this class, Nastaran and Joey will give you everything you need to write a knockout half-hour pilot. By the end of this class, you'll have developed the formula for your series, defined your main characters, and completed a draft of an irresistible pilot. Laugh track not included.

About Joey Gutierrez:
Joey Gutierrez has written on and executive produced shows such as "Raising Hope", "Married with Children", "Murphy Brown", "Norm", "The Drew Carey Show", and "Yes Dear", amongst others. A former stand-up comedian, he also wrote many of Jerry's routines in the early seasons of "Seinfeld". He was the showrunner on "Still Standing" on CBS for four years (a show that he created). He has sold six pilots.
About Nastaran Dibai:
Nastaran Dibai has written on and executive produced shows such as "Friends With Better Lives" (premiering on CBS on March 31), "Happily Divorced", "Hope & Faith", "According to Jim", "3rd Rock From The Sun", "The Nanny", and "Living Single", amongst others. She was also the showrunner on the Reba McEntire comedy "Malibu Country". She has sold 11 pilots.
