Myshkin writes songs with a dark and subtle wit, raw honesty, and a painter's eye, and incorporates far-flung musical ideas with a passionate ease. She creates an uncommonly timeless modern music with the aid of an ever-evolving crew of genius gamblers whose forts range from tango to electronica, old time to modern classical to jazz. Her band MyshkinÂs Ruby Warblers was born in New Orleans, where she was based for nine years before moving to Portland, Oregon in 2002.
Myshkin has released five critically acclaimed records, most recently Corvidae, been honored with several music industry awards, and toured internationally for well over a decade, performing and recording with dozens of artists.
Myshkin took a year off from music in 2008 to build a cob and straw bale studio in the mountains of southern Oregon, and is currently working to finish her latest and most ambitious record, heart thumping to get back on the road. Myshkin plays an eighty-year old Martin tenor guitar, a vintage Gibson six-string, and a jumbo Lowden acoustic. But her voice is her finest instrument, and she wields it like a fortune-teller, an acrobat, a hunter, a gift.

Led to Sea is the solo project of violist/violinist/composer Alex Guy.
Alex has also been a member of the Degenerate Art Ensemble (of Seattle), an experimental-punk-grove orchestra/theater extravaganza for over five years, and has toured throughout the U.S. and Europe with DAE as well as with musicians such as Jason Webley, Danny Barnes and Laura Viers. You can also hear her viola and violin stylings on the records of numerous indie and experimental bands including Xiu Xiu, the Dead Science, The Pharmacy and Parenthetical Girls. Alex also likes to compose for theater and dance performances. Some of the recent highlights include: a solo score (for violin) for IbsenÂs ÂEnemy of the people, a score for viola, violin and bass drum to accompany modern dance piece ÂEntry by Entrance; music for Wise Fool NMÂs Circus Luminous (where she and Saba met); musical scores for the SCCC production of the Laramie Project, and Strawberry Theater WorkshopÂs productions of This Land: Woodie Guthrie.
