TRUE ROMANCE & CHIBA'S THE STREET FIGHTER presented by Cult Classics & Zia Records
For Valentine's Day weekend, Cult Classics wishes you an evening full of TRUE ROMANCE and what could be better than a 30th anniversary screening of Tony Scott and Quentin Tarentino's mad love crime classic TRUE ROMANCE paired with Sonny Chiba's THE STREET FIGHTER on February 15th at 9:30pm at Pollack Tempe Cinema.
Clarence Worley (Christian Slater) watches a Sonny Chiba triple feature at a Detroit movie theater on his birthday where he meets Alabama Whitman (Patricia Arquette). They go to a diner and flirt with each other. At Clarence's apartment they have sex. She confesses that she is a call girl hired by Clarence's boss as his birthday present. Each claims to have fallen in love and they marry and madness ensues!
Plus as a follow-up we're showing the classic 1974 kung fu classic THE STREET FIGHTER starring Sonny Chiba so you can see what all the fuss was about!
