February 4th Audio Engineering Society Meeting
Tonight's open discussion will concentrate on how the field of mastering has utilized existing analogue and evolving digital technologies. A short recap will show how the field of mastering developed from the age of the LP to the present. The facility as much outboard gear, both tube and solid-state; attendees can compare differences between unprocessed and processed audio.
In addition, we will touch on issues around high resolution recordings. First of all, what defines "high resolution"; secondly, evolving delivery formats; thirdly, how mastering those recordings differs from Red Book Audio format.
