POLLEN is a dance work, influenced by Climate Change. POLLEN is presented in six parts, starting with a short film. An abstract dance construct beginning with the trepidation of disaster, which transitions into the feeling of community trying to move and proceed through the remains left after the event. Following, the effort to come together, communicate, trying to meet on common ground and work towards the betterment of all .. moving towards taking action, being in sync with one another, and processing focus towards rebuilding. In conclusion, ending with the magical, mystical essence of Mother Nature. Because thanks to her .. creating the energies to rejuvenate, resource, plant. Releasing the microspores of pollen, transported by various means, in each direction, seeding the energy for life source.
Performers include: Silkea Aktar, Diane Hula, Thomas Ng, and Sara Scrimshaw. Including live music and vocals by: Laine Proctor The evening will also include solos by Alicia Mosely and Robbie Shaw. Plus, a very talented, surprise guest dance Artist.
