Umphreys McGee After-Party feat. The Fritz w/ Captain Midnight Band
Lighting and Production by Life Is Art Studios
The Fritz:
Infectious grooves, intoxicating guitar lines, and a relentless drive of soul and passion describes one of the Southeast's newest sensations, The Fritz. Since its birth, the band's unique blend of Funk and Rock has entranced audiences at festivals and venues alike. The band has had the pleasure to open for Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Orgone, and The Heavy Pets.
Jamie Hendrickson's versatile guitar style and innate sense of melody blended with Jake O 'Connor's funky bass lines in 2007. From there, they met drummer Michael Tillis, who brings a strong driving energy to the ensemble. Jamar Woods' virtuosic keyboard solos and soulful vocal abilities propel the band into exciting musical journeys. With the addition of percussionist Mike Evans, The Fritz has developed a one-of-a-kind sound in the Southeast.
In their sophomore release, Bootstrap, The Fritz brings a unique blend of electronic rock to the table, with a heavy dose of soul. Recorded day and night throughout a ten day period, the sound shows maturity in each member's performance. Touring behind the album, the band is pushing the envelope in their live performance every night. With new music in the wings and constant inspiration from the road, The Fritz will be releasing a new EP in Fall 2013.

Captain Midnight Band:
The Captain Midnight Band plays "Waterbed Rock & Roll", a unique hybrid of Classic Rock, Jam, R&B, and blue poetry.
The Captain Midnight Band creates "Water Bed Rock & Roll" for the mind, booty, and soul. Crunchy Rock Guitar, Soaring Vocal Harmonies, and thick R&B grooves create a sonic landscape for the band's suggestive, Sci-Fi imagery and improvisational interplay.
