Bach Cantata Choir Baroque Holiday Concert
Celebrate the holiday season with a classic night of beautiful Baroque music at the Bach Cantata Choir's annual Baroque Holiday Concert. Led by artistic director Ralph Nelson, the choir and orchestra will perform delightful works from the Baroque era, including J. S. Bach's Magnificat and his Cantata 122 "Das neugeborne Kinderlein" (The Newborn Child). The concert also features works by Heinrich Schutz, Michael Praetorius (including "Lo, How a Rose"), and a cantata by Friedrich Zachow. Proceeds from this concert support the choir's mission to provide free public concerts throughout their 2022-23 season. More information can be found at www.bachcantatachoir.org.
Concert Location: Rose City Park Presbyterian Church. Enter the church at the corner of NE 44th and NE Sandy Blvd in Portland, Oregon. All seating is General Admission. Doors open 1 hour before the concert.
