2022 Poetry Prize Book Launch
Join us to celebrate Vincent Rendoni's poetry collection A Grito Contest in the Afterlife, winner of the 2022 Catamaran Poetry Prize for West Coast poets.
The ticket price includes a copy of the book.
5:00-6:00pm - Reception. Enjoy complimentary appetizers and champagne while you mix and mingle with Bay Area literati. Tour the San Francisco Historical Society Museum, located at the epicenter of San Francisco's historic core, on one of the city's oldest commercial streets. The building is the site of the first mint in the West. Peer into the underground vault were gold was stored prior to the 1906 earthquake.
6:00 - 6:30 - Live Poetry Readings by poets Alison Luterman (2020 winner) and Vincent Rendoni (2022 winner). Judges Zack Rogow and Dorianne Laux will introduce the readers.
