Science: Alan Boss: 'The Crowded Universe'
One of the world's leading authorities on the formation of stars and planets, renowned astronomer Alan Boss argues that life is not only possible elsewhere in the universe, it is common. In The Crowded Universe: The Search for Living Planets, Boss describes radical new ideas about planetary formation that make earth-like planets not only likely, but common. In fact, he contends that America must stay in the space race or risk being left out of one of the most profoundly important discovers of all time: the first confirmed finding of alien life. Presented as part of the Seattle Science Lectures, with Pacific Science Center and University Book Store.
