pygMALI - 2014 Rhinoceros Theater Festival
Set in 1970s era Chicago, Hyde Park and the Westside meet in Tsehaye Hébert's pygMALI, a send-up of Shaw's Pygmalion. Liza wants to "talk pretty". Henry wants to create the perfect woman. The two go word for word as Henry tries to tame LIZA's rogue tongue and ways, while Liza fights to retain her dignity as she transforms herself.
