Event
LA Salami, Daniel Land & Blair Jollands
We have a real Valentines Day treat for you fine folk!
First up is the rather wonderful Blair Jollands! The New Zealand born singer songwriter has already had critical acclaim for his first two albums 'Violent Love' and 'Hotel' , and we are delighted to bring his Scott Walker via Elvis, Alabama 3, ,Bowie & Jon Spencer fusion of Nu-Glam-Country-Folk to The Hope & Anchor!
Then we have the dream pop gorgeousness of Daniel Land! A long time favourite of ours, whether with his own band, Daniel Land & The Modern Painters, Riverrun or as part of The Engineers, Daniel has always managed to produce wonderful songs, inspired by his hero Robin Guthrie, the Cocteau Twins legend!
Headlining the night is LA Salami. . Lookman Adekunle Salami - 'L.A. Salami' - is a rare breed of musician that the world has been craving since the height of storytelling legends like Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon and Neil Young. Not quite folk, not quite indy, not quite common and certainly not boring, L.A. Salami's lyricism and voice are hypnotic. His uncanny ability to deliver a story through a song with twists and emotions that are so incredibly human makes his music instantly relatable. With a cool voice, beautiful guitar, and masterful words, L.A. has a distinctness to his art and a charm to his persona that make his live shows captivating and a joy!
Following this we are going for an Anti-Valentine disco....so come along and enjoy the night with us!
