CIMMfest: Punk East! Too Much Future
Describes the history and the present-day situation of six people, who between 1979 and 1984 belonged to the first generation of punks in the GDR. They hit the walls of a system that tried to control them when they refused to be controlled by it. Whereas the social misery of English teenagers manifested itself in the outcry "no future" the socialist misery of a planned youth in the GDR could more appropriately be described with "too much future".
