Orpheus Theatre proudly presents Young Frankenstein! A cast of 24 local actors brings the electrifying musical theatre adaptation of Mel Brooks YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN to the stage on Friday November 4th at 7:30 PM, Saturday November 5th at 7:30 PM and Sunday November 6th at 3 PM at the Foothills Performing Arts Center on Market Street in Oneonta!
Don't miss out on this monstrously good entertainment! The production will leave you in stiches with memorable tunes as "The Transylvania Mania" and "Puttin' on the Ritz! Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (played by Michael Tamburrino) inherits his family's estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (Brian Ziemann), and a lab assistant (Rhiannon Downey), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. "It's alive!" he exclaims as he brings to life a creature (played by Tom Pondolfino) to rival his grandfather's. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously spreads. With direction and music direction by Kerri Hogle and Timothy Iversen and choreography by Riley Bowen, Young Frankenstein has all the panache of the screen sensation with a little extra theatrical flair added.
