Sno-King Community Chorale presents Musica Da Coro
The 100+ voice Sno-King Community Chorale presents selections from the St. Cecilia Mass by Charles Gounod, and the Gloria by Frank DeMiero, featuring guest artists Cascade Youth Symphony Orchestra. SKCC and CYSO combine to make truly grand music for the audience, in a reprise of their recent performance at Benaroya Hall.
Charles Gounod's St. Cecilia Mass (also known as Messe Sollennelle) stands out by virtue of lustrous tone colors with harp and winds - reminiscent in many places of grand opéra. Featured soloists Melanie and Thomas Hingson and Matthew Richardson, singers with the Seattle and Tacoma Operas, will provide an added level of artistry for the audience.
Several selections from the music of John Rutter, as well as music in the Gospel tradition, will be performed to complete the program, truly a collection of treats for the ear.
